Would you like to get into open water swimming? If the answer is YES then this course is for you! Our Introduction to Open Water Swimming course is a great way to start your outdoor swimming journey. With small groups and friendly, experienced coaches we make it easy for you to get into the water and start loch swimming!
Duration: The course will run for 2.5 hours, starting at 10:00 and finishing at 12:30 with soup and a hot drink (+ cake!) in the Boathouse Cafe.

*We will also be running a pool based 1 Day Front Crawl Technique Workshop the day before in Nethy Bridge. The price will be £150 if you wish to attend both days.
SwimWild's Introduction to Open Water Swimming course is suitable for complete beginners who are making the transition from the pool to outdoor swimming, as well as open water swimmers who want to gain confidence or refresh their skills. Whether you’ve just entered your first swim event or triathlon or simply want to try wild swimming for fun, this course is for you.
*Wetsuits are optional*
The Introduction to Open Water Swimming course includes both dry land and in-water sessions.
Please note that wetsuits hire is NOT included.
Alice Goodridge and Sarah Wiseman are both ASA Level 2 swimming teachers and STA/ASA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coaches with years of experience teaching and coaching swimmers of all ages and abilities in the pool and in open water. Alice and Sarah are both accomplished long-distance swimmers, having completed numerous solo and relay swims between them. They both qualified Beach Lifeguards (RLSS NVBLQ) and hold up to date Outdoor First Aid certificates.
We are also happy to organise additional dates for small groups. If you have a group of 3 or more people and would like to arrange an alternative date please contact us.
