Open Water Skills Course

Location: Loch Morlich Watersports Centre, nr. Aviemore

Do you have an open water event/race or triathlon booked this season? Do you want to improve your skills in open water? If the answer is YES then this course is for you! Our Open Water Skills course is designed to give swimmers the skills and experience they need to handle open water race/event conditions.

Duration: The course will run for approximately 1.5 hours

*Please arrive in plenty of time as there will be a small amount of paperwork to fill in at the start of the session.

Please note, if you have never swum in open water before, are not a confident front crawl swimmer or are anxious about swimming outdoors/out of your depth, then we suggest that you complete our Introduction to Open Water Swimming course prior to booking this course. Please get in touch if you are not sure which course to choose.

What is included? 

Coaches

Alice Goodridge and Sarah Wiseman are both ASA Level 2 swimming teachers and STA/ASA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coaches with years of experience teaching and coaching swimmers of all ages and abilities in the pool and in open water.  Alice and Sarah are both accomplished long-distance swimmers, having completed numerous solo and relay swims between them. They both qualified Beach Lifeguards (RLSS NVBLQ) and hold up to date Outdoor First Aid certificates.

Please note that this course is for adults only (18+). If you have a child who is interested in open water swimming please contact us and we can discuss options.
