The small private pool at Abernethy is a great place to start your front crawl technique journey. During the morning and afternoon pool sessions, we will break the stroke down into stages and work on breathing, body position, leg kick and rotation.
The day will also include a swim specific pilates session with Sarah.
When you swim you need to work with the water - being misaligned can cause you to work against it. Pilates focuses on strengthening your inner support system (deep abdominals and muscles closest to your spine). Being able to activate your inner support system will help you to attain maximum balance through your stroke, correct alignment and control.
Alice Goodridge and Sarah Wiseman are both ASA Level 2 swimming teachers and STA/ASA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coaches with years of experience teaching and coaching swimmers of all ages and abilities in the pool and in open water.
