We made it to St Kilda!

On the 27th July 2019 SwimWild guides Alice and Sarah welcomed this years swimmers onto the MV Cuma for a week of swimming adventures around the Outer Hebrides. After a safety briefing and our first couple of swims at the north end of Scarp, our skipper Murdo confirmed that conditions were good enough to attempt a sailing across to St Kilda!

As we passed the sea stacks of Boreray, the main island of St Kilda emerged from the mist. We swam ashore and were lucky enough to spend two nights moored in Village Bay, Hirta. After this we headed to the Monach Isles - seeing a pod Minke Whales on the way!
